Why is my aircon not cold?
There are many reasons why your car air conditioning in your car is not longer cold, and in the majority of cases it’s because your system is low on refrigerant, or r134a as it’s called in the trade. You may see a sticker somewhere inside your engine bay with r134a written on it, so now you know what it means. So if it’s low on gas that can easily be rectified by one of our technicians.
But sometimes it’s more serious than that, and you may have a leak. You lose refrigerant over the years naturally, so expect after 3 years or so to need an aircon regas, but you may also lose gas (refrigerant) through a leak. To test for a leak the technician will add a UV dye to the system as part of a full car air conditioning service.
Of course there are many other reasons your car air conditioning doesn’t work. Check back here again as we add more news.
