Since early last year we have been offering R1234yf refrigerant car aircon regas , or an aircon recharge as sometimes known. Initially we offered this service via our Birmingham franchisee, but now we offer this further south, from James Rust, our Bedfordshire and Luton technician.
This gas is compulsory for new cars from 2013, though some manufacturers are refusing to use it, notably Mercedes who cite the flammable nature of the gas, which in turn means not many companies offer the regassing service for cars using r1234yf. But, we do now offer this service, all over the UK from our 2 technicians. We’re mobile, so they will come to you.
A common question is why the old, r134a gas found in most cars today, is being replaced? It’s driven by environmental concerns as it is more environmentally friendly.
So, if you need an r1234yf degas or service, contact either our Birmingham technician, Dave Morris, on 0121 369 2667 or visit his webpage here or if you’re further south, call James Rust, in Bedfordshire on 01234 512 665 or his webpage here. Both will visit your home or place of work, whether you are a member of the public, or a garage.
