Most people know us for keeping vehicle air conditioning systems working efficiently, but this year we’re sharing something a little more personal.
On Sunday 11th October 2026, our director Simon Parker will once again be taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon in London, raising money for Prostate Cancer UK.
After completing the event previously, Simon has decided to lace up his running shoes once again to support a charity that means a great deal to him and to help raise awareness of a disease that affects 1 in 8 men in the UK.
Last year Simon completed the London Marathon—his first ever marathon—despite suffering a stress fracture during training. This year the challenge is the 13.1-mile Royal Parks Half Marathon, with one simple goal: to raise as much money as possible for Prostate Cancer UK.
Why I’m Running for Prostate Cancer UK?
Prostate cancer is now the most common cancer affecting men in the UK. Every donation helps fund vital research, improve diagnosis and provide support for men and their families.
Like many people, we’ve all known friends, relatives or customers whose lives have been affected by cancer. Supporting Prostate Cancer UK is our way of helping make a difference and raising awareness of a disease that impacts thousands of families every year.
The Royal Parks Half Marathon
The Royal Parks Half Marathon is widely regarded as one of the UK’s most scenic running events, taking runners through Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, Green Park and St James’s Park before finishing in Hyde Park.
Training has already begun, with plenty of early mornings, weekend long runs and more than a few aching legs along the way!
For Simon, this isn’t about setting personal bests. It’s about crossing the finish line, raising as much money as possible and helping support the incredible work carried out by Prostate Cancer UK.
How You Support the Cause
If you’d like to support Simon’s challenge, every donation—large or small—is hugely appreciated.
If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this page or wishing Simon good luck is just as appreciated.
Thank You
Everyone at Cool Car Air Con would like to thank our customers, friends and family for your continued support—not only of our business, but also of this challenge.
We’ll post updates throughout the coming months as training continues and, of course, let everyone know how Simon gets on after race day.
Thank you for taking the time to read Simon’s story.
