I contacted James by email regarding the AirCon on my BMW F30 and he quoted it over email (I knew what the problem was already), and got me booked in for the following week. He called ahead on the day, arrived on time, and quickly got my AirCon Condenser replaced and the AirCon recharged with gas. All of it was done in ~2 hours.I only leave reviews for services that are really good or really bad. and James is obviously really good at what he does.I’d highly recommend James to anyone and would definitely contact him again in the future if needed.

I have had my Landcruiser A/C looked at numerous times over the last few years by different companies because it required gassing on a too regular basis suggesting it was leaking, including my local Toyota Dealer, who suggested that all the A/C pipework needed replacing at an approximate cost of £4500.I eventually turned to CoolCar Bedford in desperation, and within 10 minutes of checking underneath the car James found a A/C pipe leaking at the rear of the car, in less than an hour the car was repaired and gassed and my A/C was back working brilliantly.Thank you James I cannot thank you enough for an excellent job and a great price and will certainly be recommending you and using you in the future.Terry RichardsMilton Keynes

I knew I had a leak in my aircon and James Rust did a leak test and quickly identified that the condenser was the problem.He booked a time and date to replace it and now that has been done the air con works perfectly.The average garage does not have the knowlege or equipment to carry out this sort of specialist diagnostic test but are quite happy just to do a regas and hope the problem goes away.To sum up James – “he knows his onions”Many thanks for your excellent service

James, the air con specialist arrived and plugged car system into his gas controller in his van. He said system had lost a lot of its gas. Said systems usually lose 20% ish a year so gas loss was more or less bang on. Old coolant was sucked out to reach negative pressure to remove residual system moisture then put the full weight of new system gas back in. Very well clued up and job took c 30 mins. Well worth the cost. Gas cost was significant part of the charge. I cant believe you can buy the gas and DIY!! Having seen the kit he’s got, the process and his knowledge, DIY is big no no for me. Lol. Great job James. Cheers

This company delivered the perfect service; they were able to come out to me, identify the location of the leak, and get a replacement part ordered within a short timeframe. After numerous garages just doing a re-gas, and no improvement, found Cool Car on the internet, booked a diagnostic visit, Mick came out and diagnosed the issue on my TT as either condenser or dryer. A second visit was arranged once the parts arrived, dryer was the problem and replaced. I now have working A/Cat last. Great service at a reasonable cost. Mick got both my car and my husbands car air con working. Both had leaks in the pipe joints due to corrosion which Mick showed my husband; Mick removed the pipes, clean the joints and re-sealed. As my air con had not worked for several years Mick advised us that parts might be seized but once refilled he said all is working which proves that he was honest in what needed doing and not creating unnecessary work or cost. Honest, great customer service and good price. We will definitely use again and recommend to anyone requiring their car air con servicing or repairing.

James arrived punctually, checked the system over, regassed it and arranged a further visit 2 weeks later to check for leaks after the detector gas had time to thoroughly circulate around the system, which failed after about 10 days. Again, he arrived on time and spent an hour an a half investigating and rectifying what had happened. A minor engine coolant leak had caused a blown fuse in the electricity supply to the compressor. I have to get the leak fixed, but very pleased with the outcome and price – for all the time spent, I only paid for the regas. Fantastic service. Will definitely use again. Many thanks.

I have a 2016 Galaxy on which the air con failed. I wanted to use a specialist air con service rather than a chain garage and went for these folks on the basis of the positive reviews.It was actually something of a saga to get it sorted out. The initial diagnosis was a damaged condenser leaking coolant. This is the most common issue in air con faults (according to a garage owning friend) as the condenser is at the very front of the car, and tend pick up a lot of stone chips etc so fair enough.Things then got challenging as the air con continued to fail despite the new condenser.This is always a good test of customer service, and I’m happy to report that they passed with flying colours. Without any further cost or charge, and without any hassle or haggle, the technicians returned and kept on returning until it was sorted. It took 3 further visits and filling the system with a UV dye to finally identify the source of the leak and repair it.2 months and a good thousand miles later the system continues to work absolutely fine.Happy to recommend. As stated, despite needing at least 4 visits to the driveway there was no trace of grumpiness – if anything, they were more frustrated than I was that they couldn’t nail the source of the leak.

when my AC broke down in my VW Golf I was dreading the bill, knew it might be huge as VW are always more expensive to repair and my car is 14 years old. So I researched the issue as best as someone who doesn’t know a thing about AC in cars. Tried a few things and nothing worked, took it to a garage who couldn’t fix it. Then I got in contact with Cool Car, they came to me on my day off, the mechanic Mick was on time, was polite, friendly, professional, and he found the problem quickly and completed the work in just an hour (my car did put up a fight but he didn’t stop until he had it working).
